The Rev. John X.
Leal is the Associate Rector of Providence Reformed Episcopal Church. The Rev. Leal
graduated from
our Diocesan Seminary, Cranmer Theological House Shreveport Louisiana,
with a Master of Divinity in 1997.
After Graduation he served as Deacon/Curate under The Rt. Rev. Robert
H. Voight at St. Stephens Church of Hope El Paso Texas where he was
priested the 23rd day of August 1998 . He has also served
the Church in Houston under the Rt. Rev. Royal U. Grote, Memphis
Tennessee as Vicar under The Rt. Rev. Daniel R. Morse, and finally as
Vicar of Trinity Mission St. Louis Missouri. The Rev Leal is a single
parent raising his daughter Abriel.

from the Rector
 My name is Benjamin Bernier. I am the Rector of Providence
Reformed Episcopal Church. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, I came to
Corpus Christi in the year 2001 to serve as Rector of Providence REC. I
am happily married and the father of seven wonderful boys.
We are very grateful to God for allowing us to form part of Providence
Reformed Episcopal Church. Our parish is blessed with many families
with children and we are committed to their discipleship and spiritual
growth in the wholesome environment of a loving Christian community.
These are difficult times we live in. Often it is hard to find a Church
that stands for Christ's truth and honor, which is not swayed back and
forth by the latest fads in religion, society or culture. If you are
looking for a Church where God-centered worship is a priority; in which
the Word of God is faithfully preached, the Sacraments duly
administered and where there is a serious commitment with traditional
Christian moral standards of conduct and belief; or you are simply looking to draw closer to the Lord, I want to cordially
invite you to visit our Church and have the opportunity to meet us
personally.
